Since I was 18 I wanted to ride with a motorbike, but laws in Belgium changed and it mend I had to take new exams for it. This was not something I wanted to do for a long time, until the summer of 2010. My friend convinced me in taken the exam, and so I decided to sell the buggy, and go for it.

After passing for the theoretical exam I bought a 2nd hand Honda Shadow Ace. A 750cc custom.
I liked riding with it, but was not ideal to get ready for the practical exams, so I had to do them twice. Thanks to an other friend from whom I could use his bike for training, I got past.

We did several small trips, but for riding with a passenger I found it a bit "light" So, searching an other bike.

I went to a bike shop to check out a 2nd hand Suzuki Intruder 1800, but when I sat on it, it didn't feel right. It was to heavy for me. In the shop there was also a VL1500 standing from 2005. Took it for a test drive and yes, it was sold.

It's still heavy, and at the time of this writing I'm still not 100% comfortable with it, but once the weather get's better, we'll hit the road again to master the beast :)
